CHEFA’s philanthropic Grant Program was established in 2002 to provide support through competitive grants for Connecticut nonprofit organizations with programmatic or capital expenditure needs.
The program supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and public educational institutions that are constituent units as defined in C.G.S. §10a-1. Applications are accepted from eligible organizations whose mission statement AND the program or capital project/purchase are related to any of the following priority sectors, as determined by CHEFA in its sole discretion:
Childcare
Cultural
Education
Healthcare
Human services & Wellness
Long-Term Care/Senior Living Facilities
CHEFA’S GRANT PROGRAMS DO NOT UTILIZE STATE OF CONNECTICUT FUNDS.
All grant awards are subject to funding availability and the CHEFA Board of Directors reserves the right to award less than an applicant’s requested amount.
