Purpose:

Proceeds from the Series E bonds will be used to finance the construction of a new 252,500 square foot building expansion project, including a 195,000 square foot, eight-story tower (the “New Tower”) to be located on the main campus adjacent to the Hospital. The New Tower will house two floors of NICU services, acuity adaptable beds, advanced cellular gene therapy unit, fetal medicine and surgery with two new operating rooms and a pharmacy. It is expected the New Tower will include a lobby, gift shop, conference center, food services and be connected via a pedestrian bridge to a parking structure. Additionally, the project includes the renovation of an approximate 40,000 square-foot area of the Institution’s existing hospital facility, funding of capitalized interest for 3 years and miscellaneous other construction, renovation, equipping, improving and furnishing for various facilities at the medical center site.
