Nonprofit Grants

The Nonprofit Grant Program is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and public educational institutions that are constituent units (as defined in C.G.S.§10a-1) and operate in Connecticut within the six CHEFA core priorities: Childcare, Cultural, Education, Healthcare, Human Services & Wellness, and Long-Term Care/Senior Housing Facilities. Awards for the Nonprofit Grant Program range from $5,000-$75,000. The Nonprofit Grant Program cycle opens each November with an RFP
for Letters of Interest.


FY 2026 Nonprofit Grant Program Funding Priorities

Grant funding in the FY 2026 cycle will be awarded to organizations operating projects/programs within the following priority areas:

Childcare Sector: Infant/Toddler & Preschool care
Cultural Sector: Performing Arts Venues/Arts Studios
Education Sector: College and Career Readiness/Workforce Development
Human Services & Wellness Sector: Community-Based Navigation Services
